This page explains what data the karinderyanimark.com browser portal collects, what it does not collect, and how the few things it does store are handled. The short version: we collect almost nothing.

1. What this portal does NOT collect

  • No first-party cookies.
  • No email signups, no accounts, no passwords.
  • No personal data (no name, no email, no phone, no address).
  • No server-side logging of your gameplay, your orders, or your high score.
  • No fingerprinting, no third-party tracking pixels, no Facebook / Google / TikTok tags.

2. What this portal DOES collect

The portal uses a single, privacy-friendly analytics tool: Plausible Analytics, self-hosted at data.1back.link. Plausible is cookieless by design and does not collect any personal data. The only information that leaves your browser is:

  • The page you visited (e.g. / or /about/).
  • Your country (derived from your IP by the Plausible server, then discarded - it is not stored).
  • Your browser and device type, in aggregate.

That is the entire data collection footprint of this portal. No session recording, no event tracking, no ad-network data sharing.

3. Local storage on your device

The high-score tracker on the home page stores your best run and your unlocked milestones in your browser's localStorage, under the key karinderya_best_v1. This data:

  • Lives only on your device. It is never uploaded to a server.
  • Is not used for any purpose other than to render the high-score panel on this site.
  • Can be cleared at any time by clicking the "Reset Record" button on the home page, by clearing your browser's site data for karinderyanimark.com, or by using a private/incognito window.

4. Third-party content

The playable build of Karinderya ni Mark is loaded inside an embedded player (iframe) from the developer's mirror. When the iframe loads, that mirror may log your visit according to its own privacy practices. The portal does not control the developer's mirror - it is a separate domain. If you want to know what that mirror collects, please ask the developer directly via their itch.io page.

5. Children's privacy

Karinderya ni Mark is a family-friendly, all-ages cooking simulation. The portal does not knowingly collect any data from children. Because the portal does not collect personal data at all, there is no special category of data to protect.

6. Your rights

Because the portal does not collect or store any personal data on its servers, there is no personal data to access, export, or delete. If you want to clear the local data on your device, see section 3 above.

7. Changes to this policy

If the data practices of this portal change (for example, if a new analytics tool is added), this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date will move. Major changes will be reflected in the changelog at the bottom of the page.
